‍This report's analysis draws on data collected from two complementary surveys conducted during October 2025 from 150 college and university administrators overseeing health sciences and allied health programs and 300 students enrolled in these programs. Our key findings include:

Clinical placement is an operational bottleneck, with more than 90% administrators stating that difficulty securing clinical placements has at least some impact on their program.
Onboarding delays are disrupting the campus-to-clinic program. Administrators report postponed or missed rotations due to incomplete documentation or screening delays.
Screening and compliance processes are fragmented and labor-intensive. Many schools use multiple vendors and platforms to manage background checks, drug testing, immunizations, and placement—driving manual work, inconsistent requirements, and a higher risk of errors.
Both students and administrators seek system consolidation.
